Went there after a local friends recommendation and I was not disappointed! We chose the fresh fish on a parrilla and it was delicious! Staff was super friendly and helpful. I would love to be able to be back, the fish was juicy and tasty. Only downside was the side portions being very small… but other than that it was great!

La Llotja at El Nacional is a great seafood spot in Barcelona, located inside a beautifully converted car garage that now houses several dining options. I booked in advance, which helped avoid the busy crowds. The menu is quite rich, we chose a grilled sea bass, seafood paella and other dishes, all of which were excellent. The ambiance is elegant and stylish, making the meal even more enjoyable. Prices are a bit high and the service could be improved. Amazing seafood and fish with great service. We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the food even if we had to wait a little to get a table. Our server, Juan, was so friendly and attentive. We also had very light desserts at the end that topped the experience. Highly recommend!

Reading all the reviews, I am wondering if we were at the same place or maybe we were lucky. We had black rice with sea food and it was excellent. Fragrant, cooked to the right point, seasoned to perfection. Yes, it was pricey (25 euro per head) but you need to think about locaction; it is on the "designer street" so it is expected to be more expensive than the taverna or local restaurant. Service was lovely, attentive, our waiter explained wines to me and let me try one before I commited to buy a bottle. And it was delicious! No one forced me to leave a tip or anything like that, it was just a normal, friendly service.- Comida

We had an excellent meal here, and our very charming server was Marin. He was the most courteous and professional server I have had in a long time. All the fish is outstanding. I had sole Meuniere, a member of our party had John Dory and lanother member of our party had cod. Preparation is superlative. Highly recommended.

This place, my God! Delicious sea food and beef! Just amazing, from the service, the food quality, the taste, the wine, it was perfect! Really recommended! Try to make a reservation in advance.
The atmosphere here is phenomenal. I think this might be my top 5 places to eat in Barcelona. El Nacional have 4 amazing restaurants for your choosing. There’s nothing quite like it. Now a long term favourite. If you have the chance don’t miss this!

We visited here just before the October restaurant shutdown and we had a great time. The staff is very friendly, they had great recommendations and the food was great! Don't skip on dessert!
Mario was very helpful in finding the right option for each of us. He made sure to share his personal opinion about the best dessert. Spongy cake with creme brûlée🔝🔝🔝10/10

Food was super tasty. Relatively fast service, friendly staff. Loved the venue, cozy and calm (at least for lunch). Great albariño by the glass. Loved their pan con tomate. The fideuà is a must.
We had a beautiful meal of seabream here. Despite a small cross cultural miscommunication we had a lovely experience and want to say thank you to Thailia who looked after us so well and was really lovely! Gracias
